A Filipino boy or girl, Christian or of a cultural community, helps his or her elders (Father, Mother, or Grandparents) in their work to earn a living. Each story vividly describes family living and working together of each tribe or family in a particular region, town or barrio, in a particular occupation.
The series offers out children not only a glimpse into the many diverse cultures, ways of living, and occupations of their brothers everywhere in the Philippines, but also an insight into the unifying forces and similarities of values that bring them together which the children could identify in their own living: the instinct for survival (hard work and self-reliance) and love for one another.
